Privacy Policy

In short: nothing leaves your phone. Boxi Breathe has no servers, no accounts, and no analytics. Everything it stores — your timing preferences, your session history, your paired heart‑rate monitor — stays in local storage on your device.

This page explains exactly what the app touches and why, so you don't have to take that on faith.

What the app stores

Boxi Breathe keeps a small amount of data on your device, using iOS's standard local app storage. None of it is transmitted anywhere — there is no backend for it to go to.

Bluetooth & heart rate

If you connect a Bluetooth heart‑rate monitor, Boxi Breathe reads live beats‑per‑minute data directly from the device over Bluetooth Low Energy, for display during your session only. That reading is held in memory while you breathe and discarded when the session ends — it is not written to disk, logged, or sent off your device.

The app only scans for and connects to standard heart‑rate‑service Bluetooth devices, and only when you ask it to (from Settings) or to reconnect to a monitor you've already paired.

What we don't do

No accounts, sign‑in, or personal identifiers are collected.
No analytics, crash reporting, or third‑party SDKs are embedded in the app.
No advertising, and no data is sold, rented, or shared with anyone — there's no one to share it with.
No location access, contacts access, or network requests of any kind.

Your control over this data

Everything above lives in the app's local storage sandbox on your device:

Forget a paired monitor any time from Settings → Heart Rate Monitor → Forget Device.
Erase everything at once by deleting the app — iOS removes its local storage along with it. There is nothing left behind on a server, because there is no server.

Children's privacy

Boxi Breathe is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, regardless of age — the app functions identically for every user: locally, and without collecting data.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes — for example, if a future version adds a feature that touches data differently — the date at the top of this page will update, and the change will be described here in plain terms.
